The 8th Florence Biennale awarded the prestigious "Lorenzo il Magnifico" Lifetime Achievement Award to José Luis Cuevas, one of the greatest Mexican artists of the 20th and 21st centuries, a rebel and a leader with a great capacity for critical dialogue.
