I Premi Internazionali della XV Florence Biennale

On the occasion of its XVth edition, the Florence Biennale renews the presentation of its two main international awards: the "Lorenzo il Magnifico" Award for the visual arts and the "Leonardo da Vinci" Award for design. Both honours pay tribute to two emblematic figures of the Florentine Renaissance, representing excellence in the advancement of creativity, innovation, and humanistic thought.

These awards celebrate contemporary artists and designers who stand out for the quality and originality of their work. Each award includes a special section dedicated to lifetime achievement, and culminates in an official ceremony attended by the recipients.

For the 2025 edition, both awards are framed within the overarching theme "The Sublime Essence of Light and Darkness. Concepts of Dualism in Contemporary Art and Design", placing at the heart of artistic and design exploration the dynamic tension between opposites: visible/invisible, matter/spirit, technology/nature. This dualism, interpreted through visual and design languages, becomes fertile ground for reflecting on the complexities of our time.
