Biography

Horia Manolache, photographer and filmmaker, with a narrative, original and graphic style, captures everyday beauty leaving space for the viewer to interpret their own story. His work is published in Rangefinder, Huffington Post, METRO News, CNN Arabic and exhibited in many galleries including Corden Potts Gallery, Rayko Gallery, 4x5 Gallery, Espace Beaurepaire, Le Magasin de Jouets Galerie, Photoplace Gallery, De Young Museum San Francisco, France Cultural Center (Thailand). Graduated from the Academy of Art in San Francisco in 2018, he earns a number of honorary recognitions and awards such as: Prix de la Photographie Paris (2014); International Photography Award - IPA: 1st Place / Editorial / Personality (2015); First Prize at Longford Art Photography (2015); Forbes 30 under 30 (2016); Lorenzo il Magnifico - Florence Biennale (2017).

Manolache spent two years at a technical university until he finally decided to follow his instincts as an artist and search for meaning and a way to express himself. He obtained a degree in film and a master's degree from the Academy of Art University of San Francisco. Soon he was also noticed by magazines, online and in print, and his work was published in Rangefinder Magazine, Forbes Up, Forbes Life, Lenscratch, Lensculture, RedBull, Diyphotography, Elle Decor, Bored Panda, Petapixel and many others. On the occasion of the XI Florence Biennale 2017 he received the "Lorenzo il Magnifico" International Award for the category "Photography" (4th prize ex aequo).
