In 2005 she won the “Jardin” prize and in 2011 the first prize at the “Triennale Internationale du Papier” of the Swiss Museum of Val de Charmey. In 2015 she was awarded an Artist Residency as part of the project titled “Made in Loco. Leccese cartapesta and papier mâché” from the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities in Puglia. She carries out her artistic activity in Italy, Switzerland and Brazil. She currently lives and works between Liguria and her studio in Carrara. In parallel with her artistic research, in the 1980s she created a comic for the "Corriere dei Piccoli", a wolf which was presented to the public with the name Lupaski. Today Federica Ricotti's wolf (Il Lupo) is returning with a soon-to-be-published graphic novel that collects thoughts and metaphors, a comic that narrates the human soul with poetry. In the strip proposed at the XIV Florence Biennale, “Il Lupo” offers an interpretation of the theme “I Am You” with the humor and depth that characterize him.
