Art Comes Before & Lory Digital Fine  at the XV Florence Biennale 2025

Already winner of the "Lorenzo il Magnifico" award for digital art with a second place in 2015 and a special mention in 2017, Veronese artist Andrea Prandi participates in the XV Florence Biennale as Guest of Honour with the installation "Life >< Line," which focuses on the experience of a consciousness seeking to experience itself as a line that is born, grows, and continually mutates through different evolutionary dimensions. Its path, from the beginning, forks into two lines, both sides of the same coin: one pursues rational thought, defined by the empirical logic of experience; the other, emotional thought, which vibrates through interconnected sensations and emotions. Like a human being, the line cannot escape the passage of time and the succession of events, but it is when faced with the responsibility of choosing which crossroads to take that inexhaustible possible scenarios emerge.

"Dialoghi"

The collaboration aims to bring photographic art into the spotlight, offering artists selected by the gallery the opportunity to grow within the art world. To realise the “Dialoghi” exhibition, Art Comes Before selected four of Manfredo’s works — already part of its collection — as a tribute to him. In addition, the gallery invited its photographers to develop their personal interpretations inspired by the “Onirica Milano” project and the theme of the XV Florence Biennale “The Sublime Essence of Light and Darkness. Concepts of Dualism and Unity in Contemporary Art and Design.”

“In this exhibition, the interplay between different artistic interpretations becomes a collective work, where the sensibilities of each photographer intertwine, giving rise to an open, fluid, and everevolving dialogue. The works present an arbitrary deconstruction of the world around us—from the human beings to nature, from urban geometries to the most intimate thoughts. Amid the frenzy of our time, each expression, though in different ways, reflect the relationship between light and darkness in the human soul, creating an intimate dialogue between reality and dream”.
