XIV FLORENCE BIENNALE: The winners on exhibit at the Accademia | Applications open until 31 May

We are glad to announce that the works of the winners of the "Lorenzo il Magnifico" Award (for art) and the "Leonardo da Vinci" Award (for design) of the XIV Florence Biennale (14-22 October 2023), will be on display in January 2024 in the Exhibition Hall of the Accademia delle Arti del Disegno in Via Ricasoli 68, Florence, which is also the site of Accademia di Belle Arti. All participating artists and designers compete for the assignment of the awards, the winners will be selected during the days of the Florence Biennale and assigned by the International Jury. The award ceremony will take place on 22 October 2023.


The Accademia delle Arti del Disegno, founded in 1563 by Giorgio Vasari and Cosimo I de Medici, was originated from the San Luca Company, formed in 1339, which included among its members Lorenzo Ghiberti, Donatello, Benozzo Gozzoli, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo Buonarroti, Benvenuto Cellini, Andrea Palladio, Galileo Galilei and Pablo Picasso.

The oldest in the world, the Academy is a prestigious location for the works of the winners of the categories in competition that will be hosted for the occasion. The catalogue of the exhibition will be included in the Official Publications of the Accademia delle Arti del Disegno.


Moreover, we are very pleased to announce that, in consideration of the numerous requests, the deadline for applications for the XIV Florence Biennale is extended to 31 May 2023.
