Photographic Exhibition - The Angels of TMO
The photographic exhibition Angels of TMO opens on Sunday 19 March at 5.30 p.m. in the spaces of the Florence Biennale LAB (Via delle Porte Nuove, 10 Florence). The event celebrates the conclusion of a project, which lasted almost a year, born from the desire of photographer Federico Antonio Cutuli to pay homage to the medical staff of the bone marrow transplant department of the hospital of Careggi (Florence) with whom he came into contact following the experience of his hospitalised mother.
The great humanity, the spirit of brotherhood, understanding and solidarity, combined with the great professionalism of the operators were such that they prompted the author and his mother to want to recount their experience in the language most akin to them, that of photography.
The exhibition does not present itself as a simple collection of isolated shots, but is instead a story in images with the aim of bearing witness to the daily life of the staff (from the highest level to the individual nurse) in all its aspects.
During the opening event, the author of the shots will report on his experience and tell what lies behind the different photographs taken at different times and in different shifts of the staff (including night shifts). The subjects of the photos themselves, the doctors, will also be present with their testimonies and stories.
On the occasion of the opening, it will be possible to donate a free sum, which will be entirely destined for the AIL project with the TMO department: with a minimum donation of € 10.00, it will be possible to receive the exhibition catalogue containing the photographs on display.
For the event (with free admission) a small reception will be offered, organised by the Rotaract Firenze Est.
Sincere thanks to the sponsors who contributed to the success of the event: the Rouge bar, the Pugi bakery, the company Centro Meccanica, the law firm of Avv. Antich, the hairdresser I BZ.
