Dr Melanie Zefferino at the Society for Renaissance Festival Research

Organised by Dr Richard Morris with contributions from distinguished scholars such as Professor Ronnie Mulryne, Dr Margaret E. Shewring, Margaret M. McGowan and others, the Society for Renaissance Festival Research (SEFR) annual conference will be held at the University of Cambridge, Trinity Hall, Graham Storey Room, on 30 April and 1 May 2018.

Entitled ‘Crossing Boundaries: confessional, political and cultural interactions in early modern festivals and diplomatic encounters’, the conference features invited speakers from across Europe, including our curator, Dr Melanie Zefferino. In this exceptional event, light will be shed on the history and interdisciplinary and intercultural nature of Renaissance festivals.

The conference programme, which is supported by Trinity Hall and The University of Warwick (Centre for the Study of Renaissance, Theatre and Performance Studies), can be downloaded from the Society for Renaissance Festival Research website.
