Adoratorio, digital creative agency, has chosen Florence Biennale 2019 to present the One World One Face project, ideated by the photographer Erminando Aliaj
During the XIIth Florence Biennale, Adoratorio and Erminando Aliaj will present One World One Face, a work-in-progress project aimed at revealing the “Face of the World”.
Ideated by Erminando Aliaj and the Adoratorio creative team, One World One Face is a work-in-progress endeavour aimed at representing different realities through photography and storytelling.
According to Adoratorio , ‘there is a world in every face, and all faces together represent the world in its stories’.
To turn this concept into an artistic project, the Adoratorio team and Erminando Aliaj have been travelling around the world to meet different people, of whom photographic portraits have been taken and interviews have been filmed or made face to face.
So far the team have worked in Tokyo (Japan), Porto (Portugal), Berlin (Germany), Copenhagen (Denmark), Milan (Italy), and Amsterdam (The Netherlands), thereby creating a portrait of each city by juxtaposing different photographs with different degrees of opacity.
In Florence, One World One Face was first presented at Palazzo Medici Riccardi, Galleria delle Carrozze, on 17 November 2018.
The appointment at the XIIth Florence Biennale is meant to be another episode of their journey around the world to enjoy experiences, encounters, and emotions, and document them by shooting video interviews and taking photographs – which means collecting a treasure trove of personal memories and images.
Showing through the post-production work that has been done on that photographic material is Adoratorio’s quest for capturing the ‘Face of the World’, if only for a moment, and share it through technology.
The presentation of the One World One Face by Adoratorio, Digital Creative Agency, and Erminando Aliaj is on Monday 21st October at 5pm.
