The Florence Biennale is thrilled to announce that the winner of the prestigious scan.art Choice Award, Alan James Weiss from South Africa, will be joining us to showcase his work at the Florence Biennale in 2025. This marks an important milestone in his artistic journey, and we are excited to provide a platform for his innovative and thought-provoking art.
The scan.art Emerging Artist Prize 2024 celebrated exceptional talent in con-temporary art, with 24 finalists representing four categories: Painting, Drawing, Photography, and Mixed Media. The Finalist Exhibition, held at the renowned Bakerhouse Gallery in Graz, Austria, showcased the groundbreaking works of the 24 Finalist artists.
While the category winners will exhibit their work at the Discovery Art Fair Frankfurt 2024 and World Art Dubai 2025, we are proud to host Alan James Weiss, winner of the scan.art Choice Award, at the Florence Biennale 2025. His poignant and socially impactful piece, Factory (oil on canvas), highlights the struggles of female factory workers through a powerful blend of realism and ex-pressionism.
