The Social Hub x Florence Biennale: Solo Show of Stefano Alvino
Where urban language, contemporary creativity and new spaces for connection meet.
From September 17 to October 4, 2026, The Social Hub Firenze Lavagnini hosts a solo exhibition by Stefano Alvino, an artist who took part in both the XIV Florence Biennale (2023) and the XV Florence Biennale (2025).
The exhibition marks a new chapter in the collaboration launched in 2026 between Florence Biennale and The Social Hub – a partnership born to bring the work of Florence Biennale artists its exhibition dates.
Stefano Alvino, the artist at the heart of the exhibition, was born in Bergamo in 1992 and trained in graphic design and urban culture. His practice grew out of graffiti and mural art, evolving over time into a distinctive painting style featuring animal figures, fantastical characters and pop culture references, all rendered in a bold, instantly recognisable visual language.
His journey with the Florence Biennale has included several standout moments. At the XIV edition in 2023, Alvino exhibited Elefante Filippo and created Bergaraffa live, painting directly onto a Fine Art crate for Cr(e)ate – Crates Become Art, a project developed with FERCAM and Street Levels Gallery to support a charitable initiative for Villa Lorenzi. In 2025, the artist returned for the XV edition with Il Demone Alichino, a work that will be on display once again at The Social Hub, alongside Bergaraffa, creating a symbolic link between his two appearances at the Florence Biennale. The exhibition is further enriched by a selection of brand new works created especially for the occasion — including striking silkscreen prints on Plexiglas — along with a series of pieces and objects that push Alvino’s imagery beyond the traditional canvas, exploring the crossover between painting, street culture, graphic design and product design.
On Thursday, September 17, an opening open to all will take place at The Social Hub Lavagnini. Come and see where art, design, and contemporary culture collide!
