International Award Lorenzo il Magnifico
The International Award for Art, Culture, Design and Science of man "Lorenzo il Magnifico" has reached its 9th Edition this year. The award is given to the winner artists of the Biennale every to years. It is awarded also to important cultural and artistic Personalities that have stood out on an international level, to Authorities and Institutions that have played an important role in international cultural life.

Lorenzo il Magnifico
The award is named after the ruler of Florence and patron of the arts of the Renaissance, Lorenzo dei Medici, called "the Magnificent". Lorenzo was among the most active protagonists in the Italian Renaissance magnificence, he surrounded himself with artists and intellectuals of the time and promoted the development of the arts in his beloved city of Florence. The medal that represents Lorenzo "Il Magnifico" is a work by sculptor Mario Pachioli.
